I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't seem to get it right. My eggs make it all the way to the end and then die in the last few days. All develop good, pip and then die. I hold temps good and raise humidity to 65-75, just don't understand. Real frustrating can someone help?

My guess is you humidity is to high. Do a search on dry incubating. It isn't really dry but it;s much lower humidity and seems to solve the problem of chicks drowing intheir own eggs fluids during hatching.

What type of bator do you have? What are your 1-18 day temps and humidity? What part of the country do you live? What are you trying to hatch? What is your Lockdown temp and humidity?

Mine have done this as well. I am doing ANOTHER trial with less humidity. Good luck with your next hatch

I have two styrofoam incubators. Incubating humidity, I keep at about 25% then I raise it to 40% for hatching. So far my hatch rate is 7 out of 8 hatched last week, and 5 out of 8 have hatched today with 2 more rocking the eggs.

Last year I was using a homemade incubator and my hatch rate was about 50%

I am hatching Araucanas which are very difficult to hatch, so I am super happy with how hatching is going in my styrofoam incubators.

If your using styrofoam ones also and your humidity is higher than 50%, its too high and they are drowning.
