I need help!!!

I have 6 eggs under my hen.They should of hatched by now. Can eggs take longer than 21 days? I candled them and they are dark inside with the air sac still full. Are these eggs going to hatch? Thank you for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chickens and eggs cannot count. I had some that hatched at 20 days, some at 22 & 23 days. Others have had them go as long as 25 days, especially if they get cool at some point. Wait a little longer before you give up.

Keep in mind that the broody hen isn't sitting on them and keeping them at a constant 99 all the time. It can definately take longer. Are you sure they are fertile? Sometimes they sit the first time on infertile eggs.

Yes, I would hang tight, especially if momma is still sitting. Best of luck for a successful hatch!

Yes the eggs were fertile.The hen Carmel, has only left the nest 2 times that I know of.So hopefuly they will hatch soon!!!!!!
