I can tell you how to sex them using a needle and thread. Some people might say that this is an old wives tale or may disagree with me, but I do this to sex my silkies and EE's.
Thread a sewing needle onto a piece of thread that is about a foot long. Tie a knot in the doubled thread ends. Put a chicken inside of a dark, cardboard box, in a slightly dark room, so that it will (go to roost). The chicken needs to be still, or you might get a false reading.

Holding onto the end of the thread, hang the needle about 2 inches over the chickens back. The needle will either swing back and forth, (rooster) or it will swing in a circle (hen). I use this method for sexing hard to sex birds.
I know that this statement will cause some people to say "hogwash", because I have posted this before and it does get some funny comments. Hey! But it works for me!
Try it and let me know what happens!

My sisters-in-law did this when I was pregnant and swore by it. The needle said I would have a boy. My daughter didn't get that memo. ;)

The males get the big "spikey" 'do, while the females have more of a fluffy poor with much more rounded feathers.

Yep, I agree with this. #4 is absolutely 100% boy.
