I need help!

My baby chick has been falling over a lot today, and had like poopy on his bottom, i cleaned it off and I found a hard shaped thing where it's umbilicord was, but every time I try cleaning it, it goes crazy. It distances itself from all the others. I'm worried sick I don't know what's wrong with it

please help!

Welcome to BYC. Continue to clean the pasty butt, but leave the umbilical area alone - maybe paint with a little Iodine, but do not pick at it.
