My 19 week old BR

won't eat

won't take water

her back is kinda hunched over

she won't lay down just standing with eyes closed

her bum feathers are clean

This is my first time having a sick chick so I read that MAYBE she could be egg bound so I gave her a warm bath with Epsom salt NO CHANGE

so I right now I made her separate from the rest of the flock.

What else can I do?

Many diseases cause chickens to act like your bird, so its hard to know for sure what's wrong. However, its possible that she has Coccidiosis. Coccidiosis can cause lethargy, lack of appetite, ruffled appearance, and bloody droppings. Your bird doesn't show all of these symptoms, but Coccidiosis is still possible. It may be a good idea to get some Corid (amprolium) from a livestock supply store and start treating her with that.

Worms are another possiblity. How fast did this come one? A bird with worms often slowly begins to act sickly, though it can happen suddenly, too. I'd first treat for Coccidiosis, and then try deworming if that doesn't work.

Have you noticed any lice/mites? Parasites can cause birds to act sickly, too, but don't usually cause it to this extent.

I use DE in the coop. No bloody poo. But I will for sure try to find the Meds you suggested. I hate illness to any of my babies either birth babies or feathered.

I would be cautious to treat a chicken with any medication without confirming the diagnosis. I would try probiotics first in an attempt to strengthen her immune system to fight the infection while you obtain more clues as to what is ailing her.

Last night my FIL who is fantastic with chickens came over and gave my BR probiotic. I kept her away from the flock and this morning OMG… nothing but very yellow slime trickling out, she has never laid before so I doubt its a egg thing. She still is not doing well.

Ok... This is too much emotion for me.

My son went to put her out of her misery, he dug the hole went to do his thing and the chicken hopped out if the hole. Son comes back in saying now he can't tell which one is the sick one...

I go out and dang is she isn't drinking and hanging out with the rest of the crew but she still doesn't look good. I don't know what to do now.

If she lives her name will be ZOMBIE CHICKEN!

Oh my, I hope she continues to get better and lives. I also hope she doesn't pass anything to the others. How old do the Barred Rocks her before laying?

Is she was passing yellow slime from the vent it could have been egg material from a broken egg inside. I would take a rubber glove and examine the vent 1-2 inches inside gently to feel for any egg or shell, and try to remove it. If the slime was poop, then she really needs to be started on Corid for cocci as Wyandotte7 suggested. Cocci is contagious, and the others need to be treated as well at the same time. Corid is available at feed store in cattle medicines, and dosage is 2 tsp of liquid or 1/5 tsp of powder per gallon of water for 5 days, as the only source of water.
