I need names!

Then I would take them anywhere where you have to chase them down while their legs are so weak. Unless you can catch them inside their pen and carry them into the bath tub? At least you’d be in control of that situation.
I can put them in the chicken run while the chickens are free ranging, my mallard LOVES digging up wet dirt and making it into mud puddles, I could also get a tote (big enough to fit both in) and fill it with water, they might not have to much space but its better than laying down in the coop all day. :idunno

Try to use a long net...even a swimming pool net..we got our first net at a yard sale..but nets reduce the chasing which stresses the bird..we don’t have to use nets anymore because they know us..but until you have that bond..also..when hearing ducks..you put your arms straight out and lead them left or right. Or use a long pool...plus. Treats work..getting them in at night shouldn’t be hard either after a few nights..we’ve found ducks want to be in their safe bed time place...basically you have to do the work the first few times. Herding Andrea using food to lure them in..I always yell DUCKS..works great...lol..then after a few days. They know what to do ..I’m only adding this because you said your last batch never wanted to go in the pen...hope any of this helps...

Thanks, usually we do everything you said, feed them in the morning before letting them out, then put food in at night for them. We did have to use nets before and we still have them. The ducks we chase to one side with the door wide open and hold out the arm blocking the other way which led them right in, this is pretty helpful information just my worry is they will go down to the neighbors part of the creek (like my other ducks did) and not return home unless they're hungry, this lead to one pekin dead a while back.

For now figure something out where you can keep them up. A tote or under bed storage container they make nice bath tubs I use them for my Runners when ducklings but you can get the water deep enough they can bath. But I would be careful of their legs for a while. Did they say how old they are? If this has been an on going issue it’s going to take a while to get their legs strong.

All they said was her friend gave them to her because she didn't want them, got them from tractor supply this year.

So still young which means they have a good chance at recovery, they may not have been feeding them properly either. I’d def cut out any carb treats since they are over weight. Good protein feed and maybe some good quality kitten feed for their feathers .

Ok..I’m glad you already knew that stuff..our land buts up to our farming neighbors..but in between is a little swampier area..duck haven..they found it...we bought some of that cheap plastic fencing..ours was green..and strung it from tree to tree..and down under muck since we knew they’re clever...at first we did 200 ft. It worked a day..then they figured out a way around it. So we went longer..etc..finally it was 500 but it worked and was cheap..we did have to keep a close eye on thosebuggers but eventually they gave up..maybe worth a try?
