Is the NPIP testing only for chickens or for ducks as well, does anybody know? I want to get my flock tested and wondering if that includes the ducks?

It all depends on what state you live in, in WI everything poultry gets tested, only pigeons don't get tested. check with your state vet. in some states NPIP is a joke and some are very strict

I do know that big duck breeders that ship across state lines have to get NPIP for different states, and that a fellow BYC'er just got NPIP certified for this year to be legal. (apparently they get cranky when your not)

IM positive they test ALL birds (including ducks) here in Florida. I just got my NPIP certified number card. They do a percentage of your birds and test for Pullorum-Typhoid. They also tested my birds for Avian Influenza and Exotic Newcastle Disease. This was all done free of charge. By doing this my 2 guys that did it for me told me i could show birds anywhere in the state. Im curious now if I can ship to a difficult state such as Virginia. Ill quess Ill find out this fall. Ive heard from many thats a tough state to ship into.
