Brief History: Sir John Sebright developed the sebright in the early 1800’s. The only two recognized varieties are Silver and Golden. There are many more unrecognized varieties though. The Sebright is the only chicken that’s hen feathered, meaning that is has no pointed sex feathers in the saddle, tail, or hackle. Sebrights like to free range and roost in trees if they have the option. They lay very few small eggs.
