We made it private because people share a lot of personal information like phone, address and vacations so that's why one has to join to see all content.

We have so many members that paying is strictly voluntary and we usually have enough funds to handle the meetup.com fees.
Go ahead and join and see if it's worth it to donate 5 or 10. If not, don't worry about it.
