No, all but dark skinned breeds will develop the red color in the face, wattles and combs. It's just a matter of when. If it happens before 14 weeks or so, then you've likely got a cockerel. In pullets it usually happens after 16 weeks and means they are getting into condition for laying. It doesn't work out this way 100% of the time, but in most cases it does.Thank you!
