Sell locally on craigslist or find some local swaps.I just looked it up online. No. they are not NPIP. I just have dozens of ducklings that I must find homes for. Any suggestions?
I know people who sell without being NPIP but I can't afford the fines if I get busted.
One can barely make a profit selling online without fines.
Being NPIP is very simple. They come once a year the same month and blood test. In MO it is free and they test every bird over 4 months of age on the property. In other states, they only test a percentage of the flock. The tester sits at a table and you have to carry each bird to them. The test takes seconds. When all birds test clean you get an NPIP number and can legally sell across state lines but in MO you are supposed to be NPIP to even sell in state.
Mine are tested every September. I try to get my numbers down by testing date which has me going into winter with lower numbers.
You aren't allowed to bring in any non-NPIP birds onto the property through the year unless first blood tested.
