I just bought 2 male peacocks and i need a hen. If i get a hen with the 2 males fight and kill each other and will the hen just take to a male and be his mate ???

Peafowl are not like chicken, males will fight, but the hen will only let the birds she likes breed. I had only two blue hens in a large flight pen with at least 12 males. They didnt get over bred.

I have seen some slight dominance behavior, but I never see my males fight. They seem to me to be kind of peaceable by nature.

I have 7 males and 7 females. They all free-range together, and I have never seen them fight much. The males do run around and chase each other during mating season, but I've never seen them fight each other. I have seen turkey toms and peafowl fight some though.

Males will set pecking orders, they will fight during breeding season. If they have room to run not much harm, but i saw two blues fight and one hit the other one in the eye. That blind bird was still at the top of the pecking order,

I have two adult males and three adult females. The males established dominance right away. The funny thing is, the dominant male turkey decided the peahens were his women. The dominant peacock and the turkey spar alot. It's an amazing dance and nobody gets hurt. The turkey is like a musclebound bozer and the peacock is like a graceful dancer. It's actually amazingly beautiful to watch. He gets his "alone time" with the female and she lays fertile eggs. I'm sorry to go on and on in the forum but it's fantastic to see so many chicken, guinea, turkey people posting so many comments.
