So I'm a new chicken owner and I have Two 1-year-old Isa Browns, I have 1 silver spangled Hamburg pullet but the other pullet I'm not too sure about and next week I'm taking in a 2-month-old splash silkie rooster who is Already picking on New chicken members of the flock and I have a 2-year-old sister so if he is aggressive we will have to cull him (which I don't want to do). When the weather warms up I will be getting a clutch of Hamburgs, Batam Australorps and Maybe some silkies in there too.
As Im a new owner I don't know much about raising chicks or the breeds in general so any info, stories or experiences with any of this would be a great help.
Thank you

i will just say but silkies are not grate at not getting eaten when it comes to sky predators
they cant see so you can trim there crest or tie it up or just keep a close eye on them when they are free ranging

I loved the way Silkies look but not necessarily the feathered feet & feathers obstructing eyes so I got Silkie mixes- look very much like Silkies but no feathers on feet & not as much feather top knot.
