Hi everyone,

My duck is being about 3 weeks with one of her legs up... she doesnt move much but she does stand up in one leg for a while, eats as normal, clean herself, but she keeps one of her legs up in her wig.

This started all of the sudden after she stopped laying eggs.

She is isolated so she doesnt move much and hurt herself more. I've tried to get some help but seems the specie is invasive in FL I am not giving much information on what to do. Hopefully i could get some good insights from you guys.

Did she injure the pad or actual foot? Because sometimes they will lift their foot because of an injury on their foot

Ive trying to get her a vet here in FL, Miami but havent gotten much information. If anyone knows of maybe a vet online... she is healthy and doesnt seem in pain. I miss her seeing her walking around

I think since Muscovy are invasive in Miami, they will ask you to surrender the duck. Possibly but I really don’t know what to do right now with your girl, maybe a soak in epmson salt and aquathearpy? Also keep her on a good diet with plenty of niacin I think

And I have a duck with a leg deformity and I have to keep her nails trimmed, so I would trim your girls nails too

Does she fly she could have landed wrong. Could be broken. Since you live in Miami maybe try Muscovy haven I think is what it’s called they may know a vet since they take in Muscovy.
