What is a DNR? Is the concern that my domestics will somehow infect the wild hen? My Tom doesn't hop the fence, so reproduction isn't the issue. I live on the border of wilderness; my donkeys, poultry and future goats, not to mention dog and cat, share ground with all kinds of wildlife. I don't want to fence the wildlife out of habitat, but I also don't want to promote contamination. What concerns do you have in mind considering the domestics and wilds? Is it the shared ground? The social contact?

I have Narragansetts, and Bourbon Reds. I love both breeds. the Narragansett hens are great for moms and the Bourbon Reds are great for free ranging. I know of hatcherys that will let you mix different kinds of birds together to ship to you or you can do a small order of the turkeys but the price is high for shipping "32.00 i think??? i can give you the names of the hatcherys if you like!!!!!!!!
