Yesterday my cat brought in 3 quail chicks. Unfortunately, one of them passed away just a moment ago. The other 2 seem very healthy but i just can't get them to eat. They look about 2 or 3 days old. I took a syringe and filled it with water and they seem to only drink water when I use that method. I also looked at tips to try and get them to eat but it won't work. I took chicken feed, crushed it to very fine pieces, put it in a shallow bowl but they won't touch it. Another thing I tried was to mix water with the chicken feed and hand feed it to them but again they won't eat it. I also took a hardboiled egg and crushed up the yolk and put that in their bowl along with the crushed chicken feed. I took a little bit of that mixture and spread in around their brooder so maybe they would peck at the ground and eat it but again they just won't budge. Any tips to get them to eat and drink on their own? Anything will help. Thanks!
