I need something to DO!

I hear ya, I have 3 children and husband works weekends. So when everyone else is having family fun, it is me and 3 kids. I too am sick of chores, and saying stop yelling. Or quiet down the babies sleeping, only to have them still make noise and wake the baby. I love my family but I also love my me time. Only I don't get enough of it, because husband just doesn't understand.

I wanted to go SOOOOOOO BAD! I love going shooting and I have a huge bag of baby food jars and bottles saved up to shoot at. But he needed some guy time, and I understand, he works hard all week.

But I need some 'guy time' too, with him!

Who wants to go shooting with me????

I worded that wrong......

.........I would rather be out shooting with your husband than killing chickens.

We're just a drive over the hill, stop by any time. I'm sure I could muster up a couple of guns.

But I'm in southeast colorado, so its a little farther... over SEVERAL hills, maybe.

You said it. And then when he is home, I dont want to leave, because I want t spend those rare times with him, not alone. Besides, he is scared of the kids and says they are little terrorists.

Go bike riding, a walk, fishing, play with chickens..... lots of fun stuff to do.

If your looking for fun stuff to do with the kids have some circle time. Say rhymes, read a book, blow up a balloon and let them bop it around. Just stop and have real play time with them for a half hour and the chores will wait for you.

If your looking for fun stuff for me time you just gotta tell hubby that while he goes to work and it can be a grind at least he gets out. Plus he got to go shooting and have some fun. Next time it's your turn. Even if you just go to the store for something for you that is hobbyish.

I looked yesterday at the Fly Lady page and Friday's task was to place something pretty in your room. I have yet to go out to my yard and get some of my pretty blooming flowers for us to look at. It really never dawned on me to bring them inside to enjoy more.

I know exactly how you feel! Sometimes I just need to get out and walk around a store to get a change of scenery.

My favorite yellow Prairie Coneflower got trampled by something this morning, so the stem was broken off, but at least now I have a vase full of sunshine in my kitchen! I love it!

Anyway, I think we will make an angel food cake and maybe go for a walk this evening.
