I need to kill my roo and i cant do it

This is going to sound very rude but if there are Amish or a big poultry farm near you just drop it off there secretly
Perhaps the Amish understand biosecurity and don't want and stray chickens around they can't control. If you drop one off and it brings a disease into the big poultry farm's flock you just cost them thousands of dollars. Secretly dropping one off is not rude, that's irresponsible.

NO!

That's dangerous and irresponsible -- just as cruel and irresponsible as dumping any other animal.

Not to mention the risk of wiping out their livelihood by introducing a disease.

My rooster Angry Johnny is so mean I can no longer go outside to be with my birds or garden with out him running up on me and attacking or just straight up looking at me, ruffling his feathers and then charging me.
I just can't bring myself to actually physically hurt him. I feel bad wen I have to hit him with my be good stick. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions?
Years ago I also had a nasty rooster. One day I was outside working on something and the next thing I knew he flew at me with my back turned and spurred me in my calf, it went in about 1 1/2”. I went inside and got my gun and went out and shot him before I went to the doctor. I had to have all kinds of shots and a drain in my leg. I felt I couldn’t take a chance he spur a child. I no longer have roosters.

I'll never have another one again. We've had about 40 unwanted pregnancies this year so I've definitely gotten over have to kill them. 😬

Rooster's can be a problem. Our Rooster has a son, son beat up Rooster. Now, Son keeps his Dad as far away from most of the Hens. He is by himself most of the time. Jr Rooster is a year old now. His Dad has settled down quite a bit over the summer. Now it's Jr turn. He thinks he can hide in the coop with the Hens.

Our Hens do hang around with Rooster and Jr does get the Hens by him too. It vary day to day.

Anyone that doesn't want a Rooster attacking has a few choices. One is taming him, break his neck at night, sell him, give him away.

The most recent problem at our place Jr tamed him the rest of the way when we could not do it. Jr is chicken scared of people. His sisters are the same way. Our Australorp Hen hatched three eggs last year and she would not let us touch them until she took her position and joined all the Hens..

We live in Oregon and we go to our Wilco store in town. The manager that is in charge of the Chickens re-homes Roosters. We found out about this when we picked up two chicks on September 2nd.

If you have one near you go check and see if the one near you does this. We are in rural in Lebanon. We know if Jr get out of hand I know who to take him too.
