Really I just want to know some stuff about pheasants. I know the basics, but I would love to hear from people who have had real experience with pheasants themselves

So basically can you please just leave some fun facts, does and don'ts, advice and what I really want to know is what they eat.

Im assuming for fun and not production So try and keep only one male to your small bunch and if you have to add a bird to a pen always add the male to the females established pen. Not vice versa or he may kill her. Have plenty of cover so picked on birds can hide .

Really?Here in N.H it's 25 sq ft per bird.Quail are 1 sq ft per bird.

Yeah I think it just all depends on state regulations. Quail here have half a feet requirement and chukars have like 1 feet requirement. Idk it's really confusing at first because every state has different laws. And also it depends on the type pheasant. Theres smaller pheasants that are selectively breed for smaller bodies and greater flying capablilties. I got the info for me out of the UC Davis Ag Department. So I am assuming it's correct...

Oh also another tip out Specs on the males! In college last semester we did it to the aggressive females too. We speced all the birds at the age of 5 weeks I believe? I do mine around that time too. Spec the males.
