I need to know everything on introducing ducks!

Introducing them to what? other ducks, chickens?(both?) when i have brought in new birds i always kept them penned separately, the original flock can see, talk to the newbies but this avoids any major issues concerning safety for all birds.

Oh, sorry. Ducks to ducklings. I 3 full grown Mallards and 2 five week old ducklings. They do fine through the fence line, and Fish, on of my Mallard hens, does well with them but the other Mallards do not. The ducklings do fine with the guineas and chickens and they REALLY want to be with the Mallards.

One of the ducklings is a Pekin and the other is a Cayuga. They are both already as big as my drake.

Are the ducklings drakes or ducks? If drakes I would worry for the safety of the mallard girls being hurt when they try and breed them (and they will try and can be successful)

Not sure. I think the Pekin might be male, but I'm not sure. Are you worried because of two drakes or the size difference? I'm hoping if Salt (pekin) is a male, Pepper (cayuga) will be a girl and they will pair up, but I'll definitely watch. I will be very sad if I have to get rid of any more ducks, so I'm hoping Salt and Pepper are girls.

At 5 weeks you should have quacking from females, or at least the peep-QUAA-peep.

5 weeks? The Mallards were supposed to be 8! Who knew they could be so different! I'll watch,er, listen, for a quack.
