Hi gel...If you still have any birds left, I'm looking for about a 1/2 doz. layers. Don't worry about the well-being of your babies---I have a 3-1/2 year-old who I think would, let's say, frown upon me putting one in the pot.
I am in Colchester and am looking for a small flock since I recently inherited a single hen from a neighbor who died recently. The details are here:

I have a draft-free coop and a large run, and when I'm at home they will free-range.
As you can tell from my post I'm new to this, but things seem to be going well with my single bird so far. Besides, for me, this would be ideal since I wouldn't have to deal with building a brooder and get day-old chicks, and trying to learn about all that on the fly too!
