I need to spray for weeds, what should I use?

Butchgood, I read the articles. I'm sure the info is probably correct. What are you going to do? The food you buy in the supermarket has more than likely been exposed to Roundup, along with a whole other bunch of chemicals/garbage we don't even know about. Unless you raise/grow your own food, you are going to be exposed to some kind of unhealthy crap. Yes we are being lied to about the safety of these products. But, we are being lied to about everything now a days. From our economy, to "Free healthcare", SocialSecurity being solvent, to there actually being a difference between the two political parties. I'm done worrying about it all. Just going to try to live my life the best I can, to he!! with things I can't change or do anything about.

You can change it. The biggest thing you can do is not be part of the problem. Do not buy Monsanto products. Try to stay organic as much as possible. I know stuff we aren't aware of is being pushed down our throats and there is not a lot we can do about the secrets that are kept, but we can hurt them by not buying the poisons they are selling us in a bottle, labeled and documented as harmful. I cant understand why anyone would use it. If everyone would stop buying poison herbicide and pesticides it would hurt them bad. Right in the pocketbook. Without the demand the supply will go away. I'm just like you, I'm going to live my life as best I can, Toxic free, but I refuse to become one of the Sheeple.

I don't really think a homeowner, or a thousand homeowners are going hurt them by not buying a gallon of Roundup. They are worldwide, the big farming operations will keep them in business. I hear you about "Sheeple". But I tell you what, I feel like a one legged man at an ***** kicking contest these days.

I also try to plan my spraying when I know it will rain a day or two afterward. The only dead chicken I have ever had was the one a coon killed. I killed him back! Do what you want, but maybe the sheepl here are not just the people using roundup. To me sheeple are those that do something because that is what everyone else does instead of deciding for yourself based on your own information and circumstances. I guess what I am saying is there are sheeple on both sides of this topic. Research it and decide for yourself. If you just listen to what somebody else told you was the gospel truth then you are part of the sheeple.

Did you really research what the poison pesticides and herbicides do to us and the earth. Not the spray your fence line and, "Nothins' dead so it must be awright" kind of research. I haven't studied this extensively, but I listen to the grass roots organizations that have nothing to gain by publishing the information, not just "Somebody" This stuff kills. Its happening all around us. There is scientific proof.
Sheeple are the ones who follow blindly even if it kills them. Instant gratification. If its easy its the best way. It may take a little longer to mix up some Braggs ACV and load it into my pump up sprayer and hit my fence line 2 or 3 times, but in the end my weeds will be just as dead with no harmful side effects.

We embrace the weeds in our yard, most get picked and fed the the bunnies and chickens. We mainly have dandelions, they are great for the animals. We have never used any chems in our yard. I will try the vinegar trick on the thistle, those are the only ones I don't care for.

One year my weedeater broke and I couldn't afford to buy a new one (gas powered - LONG fence lines...) so when the weeds started to get really scary I did some research and found the vinegar trick. What I read said to mix it with vegetable oil so that it would stick..... my place REEKED like a giant vat of salad dressing for DAYS! And not one weed died.

I saved up, bought another weedeater and keep almost everything under control with weekly trimming... but will use a spot of 'round-up wanna-be' if needed.
My yard / my choice.
