I never dreamed to be a super crazy chicken lady, but here I am!

Hey all, I’m Jordyn and (obviously) new to BYC. I’m from Oregon but currently live in Southern Texas with my husband and children. I started my backyard flock March 2019 and currently have 9 chickens of varying breeds. In February of this year I was gifted 3 chicks from a rare chicken breeder because she had incubated a few hundred half breeds while trying to give some of her hens a break from the reciprocating roosters, but was told that if I had any German Liege Fighter’s that they were purebred since she did not put other hens in their pen. Well, I was exceptionally lucky and I now have a hen and rooster Liege (the 3rd ended up being an EE)! I am completely obsessed with them and have fallen in love with this breed and plan to expand my flock to add more! I don’t know a whole lot about the Liege’s and have been scouring the internet for more information and that landed me at BYC a few times. I decided to take a plunge and officially join since I will be purchasing an incubator in the next few weeks to expand my flock!
