I ordered a pair of American Buffs

I have been wanting to get a pair for a while but my timing was always off. I ordered a pair from Metzer the other day and i am really anxious for them to get here.

I have heard that it is best to have as little as possible contact with them to prevent the male from type bonding. Has anyone else heard this or practiced it? I would like to head off any unnecessary future aggression issues if i can. Thanks for any input and i am ALWAYS open to advice and suggestions

They WILL poop on you, they poop everywhere! watch your eyes that is the one place they can really hurt you and they are attracted to them because of the color and movement. (I wear glasses everywhere and they tend to peck at them) Like kids they tend to become a bit stand off ish as they mature and by nesting time they will want you to stay away from their nest. I consider this protective not agressive behavior. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THEY WON'T BE AGRESSIVE TO PEOPLE THEY DON'T kNOW! ~gd

Hope you enjoy them as they're hard to obtain here in the UK. They should be nice birds as I think I read that Metzer bought all the Holderread flock of American Buffs. Could be wrong as Im in UK but hope they're really nice
