actually starting at SMCC for my associates then using their 2+2 and transferring to either USM or UNE then have to work in an ICU (ICU, NICU, ECU, etc)for a year to qualify for UNE's Certified Nurse Anesthetist program

that's the plan anyway.....

Congratulations! Going back to school after being out for so many years takes nerve so I give you alot of credit.
My neighbor just graduated from nursing school this year after going back, she is 38 and has 3 kids but she did it.
Glad you are going for it!

good for you, i'm a nurse, you'll never be out of work, they call me everyday to work, i could be rolling in the overtime but i'm on vacation for 2 weeks and not going in, it's not going to be easy but it will pay off in the end, i wish you the best of luck

ps. in my nursing class the youngest was 17 and the oldest 53, and every age in between!

Congrats I've been an Icu nurse for almost 12 years and I started school when I was 34. You have a long road ahead but we really need some caring people like yourself. The money is acually pretty good at the Rn level, never seems like there is enough of us working on the floors. I really can't say enough about allnurses.com I started on there when I was a student and still visit there from time to time. gl
