I plan to cut the flight feathers but??

I plan to cut the flight feathers from my hens as they are flying out of their enclosure and we have dogs and other predators. My question is if i cut the flight feathers will they still be able to get to their roosts? i have roosting poles at 2' and 4' will they be able to get up to them?

They should have no problem getting on their roosts and even with their flight feathers cut, my hens can still jump a 4 foot fence.

How tall is your enclosure? Maybe put some game bird netting over the top. I had mine in a 4 foot tall run and couldn't keep them in even after cutting flight feathers so I put some 8ft tall downed tree pieces at each fence post and draped the game bird netting over it all. It won't keep determined ground predators out but it keeps my birds in and predatory birds out

It's not the prettiest solution but it cost $40 to enclose a 736 square foot run.
