I ran out of feed!!!

I gave my chickens the last of their feed this morning, and now they are out. I can't get to the store to get more till tomorrow... I have 16 chickens.....can I cook them oatmeal or eggs?? what is the best thing to feed them in a pinch?

Go around and pull all the weeds in your yard. Mix it up with cooked egg, maybe some yogurt, maybe some oatmeal. Whatever you've got. As long as they're eating SOMETHING they'll make it till tomorrow.

mine LOVED ramen noodles with out the flavor(salty) i also gave then green beans. This too happened to us...lol

funny I was just sitting here thinking.........STUPID,YOU FORGOT TO GOT TO THE FEED STORE ON THE WAY HOME.........and wondering what to feed them..........lol

A few times they did run out of food....

Spagetti, pancakes, canned fruits, scrambled eggs, they all loved it!k I throw in some oatmeal (minus the envelope), buscuits and heels of bread to top it all off.

Throwing in a bag of short-cut grass clippings from your lawn mower will keep them busy for quite some time...
