Long story short back in September I lost a cat, that I never found, so after I lost him I started posting the following ad on CL in hopes that others that had also lost their pets, who didnt know the sites to check, would see it & my post would help them out so they would hopefully find their lost pet/s. Every since I started posting this some jerk/s keep flagging my ad
! Who flags an ad where someone is trying to help others find their lost pets??? Also after visiting shelters looking for my cat & seeing how many animals there really are that need homes I attached a note to potential adopters so they to know to look at the sites ive included in my list. Somebody has WAY TOO much time on their hands

This is the ad ive been posting. Ive included it in the "Pets" & "Lost & Found" sections of CL. Please note ive removed the links I have posted on my real CL ads in case any are in violation of BYC rules.
* To people looking to adopt a pet or pets: most of what ive posted here is directed towards you to!
Please PLEASE check these sites daily or as often as possible, & at least once a week I would visit each place I have listed & ask staff to look up records, descriptions, & pictures is they have them. Dont forget that even though you may know your pets breed/s & color/s staff might have guessed wrong & listed them as something else completely different. There are always quite a few animals listed on these sites but there is NEVER every single animal up. Some do not get put up till weeks later, some never do, & some are put up for & adopted before there is chance if presumed a stray or believed to not have anyone looking for them for any reason. Owner surrenders arent always an owner thats had them a while. There are people that pick them up then cant keep them or some will do that with stolen animals etc etc etc. I hope this helps many folks get their pets back. Sadly not all circumstances will put a lost pet in a shelter or rescue but it can still help quite a few!

*To folks that have lost their cats I highly recommend, on sites that have the option, checking other states since some cats have that nasty little habit of hiding in vehicles that happen to be headed 1/2 way across the country.

* To ALL pet owners: Please get your pets micro chipped! I know many people have heard & read this before & I know many many people have financial issues, but if you look around you can find vets that will do it for $20 or so per pet. Even if your really bad off try to save up the money piece by piece. Just GET IT DONE. Simply call around to different vets to see who charges how much. I think Sunrise vet clinic in Rio Rancho charges about $16 each so my pets I havent gotten chipped yet have their appointments scheduled.
*I plan to keep re-posting this so people, who do not already do, know where to frequently check, & as I find more sites to search I plan to add them to the above list.
