I really hate craigslist sometimes

I have some things I have been trying to unload on craigslist and I'll be darned if I am not fed up with how rude people are in responding. First of all if you are coming to get it then show up! Or at least call. I have a washer and dryer that i have listed 3 times and had a person each time wanting it and they either quit responding to me or dont answer my calls or don't show up. Or they said they would be here at 3:30 and they dont get here or dont call or show up 2 hours later. I just don't undersand why it is so hard ot send an email or just have common courtesy and let me knw they dont want it. I have to list it yet again because no one will show up and its 5 now and im still waiiting for a person to show up that told me over an hour ago were "on their way" for something else I was selling on there.. It is just so frustrating.

I manage rental property, if I get 50% of the people I set up appointments with to show up it is good.

Then they want to haggle the rent, security deposit and move in dates.

I realize some landlords can haggle, but a big complex can not because it would be unfair to people already living there.

That is often when they ask "If I give you $50 will you ________"

I posted 3 items on CL yesterday, sold 2 last night and the other this afternoon. It is good and bad.

Well the people finally showed up today 3 hours late to get the one item, and earlier in the week I got rid of some "free" stuff right away. But the washer and dryer are still here..

Ask more for the washer and dryer, and actually say in the ad that being late will raise the price by $X per hour.

Add "Serious inquiries only" "Price not negotiable" "Will not hold item, first come first serve" to your ad.

It does get worse! My DH was going to buy some tools from someone that lived about 1 1/2 hours from our home. He set an appointment, went to pick up the tools and the guy was not home. He would not answer his phone either. So DH drove 3 hours for nothing. Boy was he mad! In general I think CL is a good thing, but the fact is, that rude people are a dime a dozen.
