i really need help with my fan location in my homemade incubator!!!!!???

i put the heating bulb 25watt at the side end and a fan at the other side end inside the incubator and the fan is blowing the the heat from side end to side end..and the temperature readings stops at 98.7f . am i placing the fan at the wrong location?

The ideal location for a fan in an incubator is so that it takes the coolest air and blows it across the heat source. If you are not able to get up to temperature there are two possibilities. Either your heat source isn't sufficient or your fan is blowing too hard.

i placed a towel on the floor like a face towel could it be this that disturbed the airflow inside?

Pictures would help greatly.
Sounds like your fan and heat source may be too far apart. Your fan needs to circulate the heated air. It also needs to pull fresh air in and used air out.
Where's your ventilation holes?

I agree, a picture of your setup would help. I know people have had success having the fan directed at the heat source, but with my setup (my light is at the very bottom) I have found it works best for me to have the fan directly in front of the light, pointed upwards slightly, drawing the warmth from the light upwards towards the eggs. It depends entirely on your setup.

here the pictures and i am now using 40 watt bulb and the temperature went up to 100.8 and ive just drilled some hole(you can see it from the 2 picture) and will this drastically change the humidity level?

So youre not using any type of thermostat?

It will be very difficult to maintain humidity and temperatures with this current setup. If you can find a Styrofoam cooler, or something, it will work much better. Cardboard on it's own probably will not work well.

thanks though i did hatched some eggs in the past few weeks but guess i'll search for styrofoam cooler tommorow
