I really need to advice!!

Also, I found a little quail waterer at a local garden store and am so happy to have it! I hatch Seramas, which are just a little bigger than quail and they, like quail, are known for drowning in tiny water dishes. I just love everything little!

They are absolutely adorable and so cute, especially when they all want to sit on my hand to take a nap, and they become just one big ball of fluffy baby's:love

We have a big aviary, so they are very fun animals to have walking around in there.
I'm 22, so i am still learning allot, but my mother was very into chickens when i was young( also very active on simulair chicken forum like this one, only it was a dutch one, since we are dutch haha) and hatched all different kinds of breeds( i think serama's as well), but in all of her 10 years expercience with chickens she never had a baby chicken that survived after she helped it out of it's shell. So she was stunned as well they both survived.

But ofcourse these days the incubators are much better they 10 years ago.

Chinese painted quails are beautiful animals.

They do drown very easily even in very very shallow water:(

I use a small cup with low edges and have rond glass stones in it, so they can stand on the stones and can easily get out of the cup. I make sure there is very little water in there so there is no risk of drowning, and clean and fill it up 2 times during the days. Works perfectly
