That's the point, I wasn't thinking when I did it. I saw the egg out of the nest box and I instinctually rolled it into the nestbox to get it back on the shavings and off the floor. A stupid, stupid move.
As it left my fingers I knew it was a bad move.
Its due to hatch on Sunday. I'm candling it tonight.

after all the comments telling you that it makes no difference, why do you insist on saying it was a "bad move" ?

In the first place, if a hen rolls an egg out, it is usually dead anyhow.. they can tell..

does candling somehow make the egg hatch better? I don't know.. why do people candle ?
