I'm guessing that some of you are

As I went down to do the chores this morning I was meet by this!
    A young Red Tail Hawk

I thought man you must be one hungry hawk
not willing to give up its meal. It just sat there, as
I got closer it walked away and I could see it could
not fly, so I went back to the house and got my
gloves and a blanket, herded it into a spot that
I could cover it with the blanket and then put it in a
    carrier. [IMG]

After the chores were done I called a Wildlife Rehaber
(one that works with birds) that lives
about 8 to 10 miles away and took the hawk to her
We think it is suffering from a concusion and in
time will be turned back to nature and prey on my
chickens [IMG] But that is just the way of nature.

    Don't you just [IMG] it!!

Thanks for saving it, it has just as much right to live as our chickens do. Unless I catch someone in the act I don't touch them.

That is a great picture congrats on the great save. Now to secure that run better, for when it is released.

like a barn....the rest of the time they have
    the run of 7 acres.

My thoughts go along the lines of with the bird's concussion comes amnesia, so when it finally stops seeing stars it won't be able to remember what happened or, more importantly, where it happened [IMG]

If I were to save a predator, that would be on the list to save. The only things that are on the no save list are rodents, coons, and possums.
