I set mega eggs today! Join me for a May 18 hatch date

This is my biggest set ever at 85 eggs. I set 70 silkie, black australorp, ameraucana, olive eggers and cuckoo marans in my incubator and another 15 of the standard eggs under a broody marans today to hatch on May 18. This will be my last hatch in the bator for this year, but if the ladies want to sit this summer.....great! Last year I had a ameraucana go broody at 6 months old, just weeks after she started laying!

Wow, that's a lot of eggs! I've done minimal hatches in the bator this year, but have broodies like crazy! I don't have anything due exactly on May 18th, but around there I have 3 Cochin broodies & 2 Silkie broodies due. They all have a mix of Silkie, Cochin, Frizzle, & EE eggs...whatever I felt like stuffing under them at the time.

I also have a turkey hen, Cuckoo Marans hen, and Cochin hen all sharing the same nest with about 30 EE eggs under them. Crazy birds...
