I set 42 eggs on March 26th. They are due on April 16th. Anyone want to be hatching buddies?

I have to admit, when our broody hatched I had NOTHING to do. I didn't hover over her, I did not even candle-not once! No lockdown. No wiping pasty butts.

Now, incubating-I hover over the bator 20 x's a day checking temp and humidity. Can't wait to candle. Even a little excited about caring for those baby fuzzy butts.

How I manage to last all 21 days is a mystery to me.

I set 21 eggs (3 cochins, 18 EE's) March 27 in my new Brincea Octogon Eco 20. This is my first time ever. I was able to pick up some eggs from FanZ Feet Farms in a nearby town. Sticky notes with tips I have learned here are stuck everywhere near the incubator! This thread is bookmarked.

Friday, April 16 and I have a pip!! Oh my, I hope I survive.

I'd love for one of my girls to go broody here! You're right, it is so easy that it is practically boring! On the other hand, wiping pasty buts, cleaning the brooder and listening to the never ending peeps while cleaning the down & dust mess they make is wearing on me a bit... I was just wishing our brooder chicks would nap for a bit
