I set up some lighting in the coop and my girls are acting strange!

We added light in the morning and they are all laying! Except lil bit and she has other issues! broody..then being at the bottom of the pecking order cuz shes different and smaller!

I'm north of you and put the light on now from 4 am - 8 am.
I think there is a possibility your light is going on and off too soon, possibly scaring your hens when it goes dark again and throwing off their laying cycle...

I turn on our light between 7 and 8 am they are already up at that time. I turn off the light between 9 and 10 pm since I don't get home till that time some days. I have a friend who when he can closes the coop door to protect them till we get home to lock it up.
