I Should Decide Within a Week, I Think,

I have garden gloves that I use. The palm is rubberized for grip, and the back is cotton knit. I'm breaking a broody right now, and I pick her up with those. She's never tried to peck me, but my roo did peck me though the glove hard enough to leave a small bruise.

I'm hoping when I can have chicks (now is NOT a good time), this girl goes broody and is a good mom. She's an Orpington, and they are known for being good moms.

Get a pair of cheap welders gloves from Harbor Freight. They're leather and come halfway up your forearm, and the leather is thin and supple enough to give a little more dexterity, plus they wear in and get more supple as you use them.

Just what I needed. Another excuse to go to Harbor Freight.

;)

That place is as dangerous as Lowes or the farm store.

I need protection up my arms too. Did you see this thread?
