Cordon here, is the one who sat so firmly as a serial broody last spring. She's a Blue Australorp who went broody without being vicious when I robbed her of eggs.

Mocha is a 7-month Mottled Java pullet. She's the one who bit me so viciously the other day.

I showed the photos to my husband and he told me that Mocha was the one who attacked him while he was getting eggs the other day when I wasn't well enough to get out of bed.

I wonder if dishwashing gloves would be good anti-broody armor? I can't really afford a set of mail gauntlets.

They are beautiful hens!

Mama hens are the best! I'd love to let my girls hatch their eggs, but no more boys for me!

They do come in a glove. LOL! You can usually find them near the grillin' area in stores.

I have lots of thorny overgrown areas at my place. DH put a hole in the seat of a pair of jeans. I now use the legs as gauntlets. Perhaps something like that paired with work gloves?
