I sold my first soap today! Yay! - Long

Wow! That is amazing, Southern28Chick! I love how good you did with the baby roo on the wood. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the candles too...

I can make you a sign! No problem.

I have to buy the beeswax online. I would love to keep bees but I have a cat that would drop dead from a sting. I've had to rush him to the vet after a hornet sting before...it wasn't pretty.

Honey if you're in debt and only owe $20 you're doing pretty darn good.

What kind of sign would you want?

Well, to me I consider myself really in debt because I have no way of making money....but I want to start selling crafts and stuff online. Hopefully I can make a little bit of money.....

What kind of signs can you do?

As far as the signs go if someone told me what they wanted it to say or sent me a picture than I could do it.

Your theme beads are darling!!! Beautiful work! Do you use a kiln to cure your beads? My room-mate dabbles in lampworking sometimes, but nothing near as uniquely designed as what you have. He's also wanting to do some experimenting with precious metal clay and dichroic glass.

Chickngurl - I do use a kiln to anneal my beads and glass. Its a tabletop model called a chilipepper. I also slump glass in it as well. Not big thing, but small things like wine bottles into cheese trays, etc.

I've tried dichroic glass and always burn the dichroic or color out of it. Since it costs an arm and a leg, i don't use it very often. I just graduated from soft glass to boro and have great luck, its melts slower so I can do more sculpture. I've seen pmc and love some of the charms made with it, but I've never used it. I did take a class on how to use it, but never pursued pmc further.

I'm glad you like the beads and jewelry.

OMG everything you make is so skillfully crafted and beautiful! I wish i could even come close to making something like that! The beads, the roo and the candles are great!

The beads was MBLayfield's. The wood burning and candles were mine. I wish I could make beads like MBLayfield!
