only the shadow knows.....
Ok gang here is a swap for after the first of the year. This will give you a jump on Birthday gifts or Holiday gifts for next year!!

Theme: I-spy. Remember the game you played as a kid? “I spy something ……” These quilt squares are just like that. Each square is something different. Each person chooses a fabric with something that can be spied. For example my blocks will be bright colored sneakers. Be sure that what your pick as your spied item is something that could possibly cut down to a smaller square or maybe even a fussy cut.

Here is how it will work:
*This swap will be limited to 36 slots/participants You can sign up for more than one slot, but not more than 3. You will have to submit a different colored fabric for each slot filled.

*Each person will cut 36-6 ½ inch by 6 ½ squares out of 1 1/2yards of novelties fabric. You will have a bit left over to add to your stash(Check the list to see what has been chosen already) Each person will receive one square from each person

*Fabrics must be 100% cotton and pre-washed to avoid shrinkage.

*You must be 18 yrs. old or older to participate in this swap.

* Completed squares must be mailed out to me by the 31st of January 2010.

Feel free to chat and/or swap fabric pieces as needed on this thread. Blocks and fabric pieces can easily be wrapped in saran wrap and popped into an envelope making postage not too big of an issue...

DISCLAIMER:
BYC and staff are not responsible for what happens within this swap and that people should only swap if they are comfortable knowing they might not get a block in return. (Mail or failure on the part of one person to send one) I will do my best to make sure that doesn’t happen. Please PM CoyoteMagic if there are any failures.

I like that 5th one. It is just a simple snowball block ....

I'm thinking you could make a "bugs in a jar," type quilt with these also. Here is an example, (though with 8.5" squares). I mean, it doesn't just have to be bugs in the jar, right? I need to make a couple baby quilts, so think I will try this one.

This pattern uses 4.5" x 6" of the "I spy," piece ... into a jar!
