I started converting my shed into a coop

Thanks. The holes aren't pretty, but I did it so that they're covered.

Still just the two. There's a chicken swap coming up near me in a couple weeks, and I plan to get some laying hens there. (The previous deal fell through). At least these two are used to going in and out of the coop now, and I'm hoping they don't fight each other when they meet the hens. I'd like to keep both of them. :)

I got three laying hens and a bantam pair at Jacob's Cave today.

My two original roosters are on the right, wondering what's going on.

Everyone milling around, eating, and checking each other out.

The bantie rooster likes to act tough.

This hen seems to be the loudest, and friendliest.

This hen seems to be the boss already, even over the roosters. All three laying hens want this spot too. When one is in it, the other two will stand on the perch right in front of her and watch.

Very cool!

Congrats on the eggs! I can't wait until we get our first egg! I told the spouse I was going to paint it gold.
