I stick chicks under broody bantams. sounds like the first line of a novel! I buy my chicks late in the season to save on heat/electricity and stick them under a bantam sitting on eggs. some of the bantams will not accept them and you have to get them out quickly. but I have one Bantam who is tried and true. as long as it works I will keep doing it. BUT I have 24 more chicks coming and I think that might be pushing it a little.
