Hello, I'm from Quincy, a large suburb of Boston in MA. As a kid spending summers in my fathers country Croatia, I practically grew up on an island retirement villiage my parents own a shack on. There aren't many left, but when i was young there were several chicken coops, and a donkey on the island, and I always found them amusing. Now that I'm older I've had a lot of interest in a more self-sufficient lifestyle. I don't have much opportunity right now to raise chickens or even quail (since I'd have to get a permit for that anyway), because I just don't spend enough time at home due to my long commute to college, and I wouldn't want to place the burdon of looking after them on my parents or boyfriend (though he's numerously told me that if I wanted I could build a coop out of his useless garage and he'd take care of them.)
In any case, sometime in the future, I'd like to have a nice mini-farm with a couple of angora rabbits, some chickens, some quail, and a pair of pilgrim or sebastool geese. I'm not the best at conversations though, so please try to be patient with me, because I am never aware if I'm being insulting.
edit:
OH! And my non-chicken-research hobbies are cosplay (costume making basically), architectural design, cordwaining and cobbling, remodeling furnature (mostly just cutting it up and putting it back together to serve a purpose like fitting in a small door and sewing new covers), and barely passing any of my college classes.
