I tap on the wood in the brooder and they go crazy?

Not too sure what is up with this, or it may just be normal..but when I tap on the wood of the brooder the 2 week old chicks start going a little crazy almost aggressive to each other, when I stop they stop so to say the least I have only done it a couple times to see if it was just a coincidence, but nope every time I do it they start running around and fluffing their feathers at each other. It also seems that when a chick has scratched to the bottom of the brooder that is made of wood and it makes the same noise, they do the same thing?!

Any idea why? Not really worried just more curious and wonder if anyone else has had this experience?

My chick's from last year would do that! I think the noise of wood freaks them out. I'm not sure why. Haha!
