Really? It perplexing huh? My son got him at Tractor Supply Co. I never buy there so not certain if cross breeds are sold there!I would guess that he is a Golden Sebright cross.
that isn't a walnut comb, that is a rose comb. and its not a cross, its just a badly bred laced sebright,(golden laced sebright) other than that he is a lovely bird and best of luck with your flockHis walnut comb says Sebright but his tail feathers say another thing long tail features confuse me??
Thanks for correction! I don't have breeder show quality birds. They're just my babies poorly bred or not.that isn't a walnut comb, that is a rose comb. and its not a cross, its just a badly bred laced sebright,(golden laced sebright) other than that he is a lovely bird and best of luck with your flock

Sometimes due to fertility issues in some rosecomb breeds a single combed bird will be introduced to provide hybrid vigor. Sebright cockerels/roosters are supposed to be hen feathered - he is not; hence, my guess that he carries some non sebright DNA.Really? It perplexing huh? My son got him at Tractor Supply Co.
