I have been slowly turning DH to the dark side. Hatching, keeping chicks in the house, enjoying fresh eggs, swearing he will shoot neighbor dogs, etc. He won't admit it, but I know the truth. He is addicted. Last night I heard strange noises coming from the heating vents. I couldn't figure out what it was. Then I realised that DH was in the basement crowing at the babies in the brooder.

Yes, and he didn't seem to mind. He is very fond of the chickies. His favorites were killed by the neighbor dogs, and I know he was just as upset as I was. Two of the 3 babies are from Pinkie, a wonderful JG hen that we lost.

What a cute hubby! Too funny!
