I think I’ll incubate a fairy egg

I got a fairy egg 2 nights ago, I’ve been going back and forth on whether to try to hatch it. I know it probably won’t hatch, but I thought it might be a nice little boredom breaker for me and the kids. Here’s my dilemma, I really only want tuxes, and I don’t have anyone in the breeder pen now, so the current eggs are all lineage unknown. I have to put a couple eggs in with it, I’d say 3 at least, so it wouldn’t be alone if it hatched. So I would put 3 big eggs and the fairy, and if the fairy doesn’t hatch as it probably won’t, I would be left with 2 or 3 other chicks. 4 eggs seems ridiculous, should I just fill the incubator and sell the extras as day old straight runs on CL? Hubby says it’s wasteful to heat the whole incubator for 4 eggs haha, actually maybe my son said that, it’s so weird when they start having adult convos. Do you guys find it a hassle to sell on CL? I’m waiting to hear back from the dept of agriculture about out of state selling and what is needed, but the fish and wildlife lady said in state is fine, so I guess no issue there to worry about.

here’s my little fairy egg, I candled it and it seems to have a yolk:

You can. Especially if you don't ask questions and sell them cheap, it probably wouldn't be too hard to sell them depending on where you are
What is cheap? I was thinking if I put about 24 in, and I hatched 18-20, if the fairy hatched I would keep 2 chicks and sell the rest for maybe $20 for all of them, is that cheap or too much for celadons? I don’t even know.

The fairy egg might not even have a yolk. Yours looks big enough to not really be a fairy egg, though.
I put a fairy egg in with some button eggs for size comparison.

And here's a coturnix egg and a button egg for further comparison.

It looks about the size of a button egg, it is about half the size of the next smallest. It does look like it has a yolk when I candle, so I’ll check around day 6 and see what’s happening in there, if anything.

This is today’s egg from the same hen, all previous eggs from her are about this size, I have about 4 or 5 in the fridge of the same hen and compared. I had a scale for weighing exact amounts of coffee, but I lost it when I moved.

The 2 fairy eggs i've opened (chicken eggs) have a clear transparent yolk shape within the white.
