I think I am gonna faint!!!

It hatched! It hatched 4 days early and looks wonderful. Pics tonight when I get home. It was still wet this morning, so I didn't want to open the bator.

Congratulations!!
I've had 2 scovie eggs of a neighbor's in the bator, due to hatch May 19th...last night one pipped and the other is in the air cell peeping so I ran them out and slid them under my broody Pekin gal who is on dud eggs.
I was shocked that they pipped 6 days early.

I had Serama chicks (from my own flock) start hatching 7 days early. Now have 6 chicks with 3 to go, but they were not due until this coming Monday!

If I didn't know any better, I would think the hen had been sitting on them ... but they weren't in the pen with them for a week. It is possible some were left from the day before as they lay at all times of the day, but I do collect eggs every day and know I didn't have my date wrong on this one because I set them 3 days before I received some eggs I bought (which are due Thursday, and at this point, still in their eggs, lol). Way too weird.

I put the duckling in with my 1 week old barred rock chicks because they are same size. Those chicks ran like hell to the north forty and stood there staring at the duck like "What the HECK is that???".
