I think i hatched dalmations😂

In that case, I do not know what caused them to be smaller.

I suppose it might have been a bantam father, as you suggested.
NatJ I'm curious to see what they turn into. The lavendar orpingtons I got where all very small. I'm just now starting to see some are slightly bigger than the others. Out of the 8 I hatched I have 4 that hatched bigger ( I'm pretty sure they were all from larger eggs) but the other 4 where a mix from smaller and larger eggs.

So I researched how to tell if a chicken is a rooster or a hen but i cant see a difference in feathers. I doubt i was lucky enough to get all hens i HOPE i didnt get 13 roosters🤦‍♀️Tried to get as many pics as I could. Can someone tell me which is what? I usually just wait until they start to crow but I'm hoping to list them for sale as soon as they're old enough to be out from under the heat lamp.

Feather sexing only works on birds that have been bred for the trait and only during a short window of a few days time. :)

100% what 3KillerBs said! Unless you know for sure the parents had the appropriate genes to produce feather-sexing chicks, then that's not going to be a reliable method of sexing these chicks.
