I can't quite tell if this one is a roo. At first I was sure because he/she was bigger than the other Australorp and he/she looked like he/she was more red in the face.

Now though, I am starting to see red on the other Australorp's head and she has caught up in size.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I also bought 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes about 3 weeks after my 1st group of chicks all from the same feed store. When the gentleman was picking them out, there were also some Australorps in the tank. I thought the ones he picked up looked an awful lot like the Australorps I purchased in the first group. He assured me though that they were Wyandottes.

Tell me what you think. The one on the Left is supposedly (and possibly a SLW), the one on the right is a Black Star, and the one in the background is a Black Australorp.

How old are they? The two in the top pic look just like my SLW did a few weeks ago. She's now about 10-11 weeks and is starting to get more white feathers on her upper body and neck.

I'd say the SLW are about a month old. I'm glad to hear that they are what I paid for and I am really am excited about their grown up status. Every breed I have chosen has been for the cold hardiness factor. The more I read about them the more I hear about how well they do in the cold.

Thank you all for the clarifications and I will try to take some pictures today of the combs.
